Kids Foundation Injury Free Day

DRESS KIDS IN HARD YAKKA AND SUPPORT THE KIDS FOUNDATION

No stranger to promoting safety, Hard Yakka is supporting one of Australia’s most loved charities targeting children’s safety, the KIDS Foundation. For every Hard Yakka Kids Action Back Overall sold, $1.50 will be donated to the foundation to assist its work in childhood injury prevention and injury recovery.

Hard Yakka is the longest serving sponsor for the KIDS Foundation, supporting the foundation since it first began its vital work as a health promotion charity in 1993. On an average day in Australia, 5000 children are injured in accidents. Supporting the KIDS Foundation helps ensure more children don’t have an average day.

The KIDS Foundation is putting safety in the workplace under the spotlight with their third annual Injury Free Day to be held on Friday, October 24. Each day almost 2000 people are injured at work, costing employees, businesses and the community $34 billion a year. Workplaces taking part in the national safety awareness day help the KIDS Foundation raise funds to continue its work supporting children and making a difference in their lives.

We encourage your company to purchase an IF Day Kit to raise money in your workplace.

What does an 'IF Day Kit' contain? An IF Day Kit contains promotional materials to engage your staff and promote workplace safety and injury prevention.

Koolgear New Shirts!

Hard Yakka Koolgear, Now with really cool tape!

Through a combination of innovative design, the latest fabric technology and famous Yakka toughness, Hard Yakka Koolgear combats heat stress by improving airflow and actively drawing sweat away from the body. Hard Yakka Koolgear Shirts and Polo shirts for example, feature cotton mesh gussets and vents to promote airflow throughout the body. But it doesn’t stop there.

New to the Hard Yakka Koolgear range are two garments that set a new standard in safety workwear. Both garments feature new 3M reflective tape that does far more than meet the safety standards for reflective properties. The tape comes in two forms, perforated and segmented, and benefits those working in hot, humid conditions by being more breathable and flexible. Something your staff will quickly appreciate when they’re working in places like a mine or performing heavy manual labour under the harsh Australian sun.

Hard Yakka Koolgear perforated tape shirts and Hard Yakka Koolgear segmented stripe polos come in a range of long and short sleeve varieties and are leading the way in keeping Australia’s workforce cool, safe and comfortable.

New Hard Yakka Koolgear perforated tape Long Sleeve shirt actively promotes airflow to help keep you more cool and comfortable than ever before. These Hi Visibility two-tone shirts with new, “breathable” 3M perforated tape comply with AS/NZS 4602:1999 for “High visibility safety garments” and Day/Night use AS/NZS 1906.4:1997 for “High visibility materials for safety garments”. (Colours do not fully comply when wet.) As with all Hard Yakka Koolgear, the perforated tape shirts also have an excellent protection rating of UPF 50+ to Australian and New Zealand Standards.

New Hard Yakka Koolgear segmented stripe polo available in short and long sleeve, not only actively promote airflow to help keep you cooler and more comfortable than ever before, they also stretch and move with you while you work. The new “breathable” 3M reflective tape complies with AS/NZS 1906.4:1997 for “High visibility materials for safety garments”. As with all Hard Yakka Koolgear, the segmented stripe polos also have an excellent protection rating of UPF 50+ to Australian and New Zealand Standards.
